hey all,
im installing a set of black verada seats in a mates TE
i havnt got around to looking at the seats yet but looking in the 3rd gen manual they have a main plug with 3 wires (1ground 2positive) but whats the 3rd for? the manual doesnt show
also what amp wiring should i use? and what amp fuse should i use with it (acording to the manual there is a 120amp and 40amp fuse)

and one last thing it should be right just wiring the seats straigh from the battery right

thanks

yeh the switch is on the seat whats where the plug runs to, so the switch gets power and then sends it of to what ever motor is needed to move because its a 8way electric seat i think

im guessing they need alot of amps so maybe use 8g from jaycar (can hold 56a) then put a 40a fuse near the battery

They don't use *that* much current (they are geared, nothing happens real fast) probably tops of 30A. 12-16Ga would be enough - with relays please.

ahh 8 ways

does it vibrate and massage as well:bowrofl:

then if it has 2 motors it needs 2 wires

cool
lol nar
theres around 4 motors, to move the whole seat forwards and back, then another one for the back bit to move and 2 motors to tip and raise the seat

if its the same as 3rd gen Xi verada then the 3 plugs go into a single +12v gnd. hooked it to the mobile phone power connector under the colsole. its fused havnt had a problem.

Cause I didn't read your whole post - sorry! No need for relays - thought that the switch was separate...
