Has anyone fitted a rear strutbrace to an awd magna together with a front brace. If so how did they find it. It has been said that the is minimal difference with only the front brace fitted. Looking at wrx's and skylines awd's fitteed with both front and rear braces appear to show a significant improvement in turn in and handling in fact a lot of suspension people suggest both be fitted to awd cars. Has anyone expereinced the difference.

well since there are no strut towers in the rear of your car to which you can affix a brace, i doubt anyone has.

but many members have fitted a rear-sway bar which has dramatically improved handling. these are around 180-200.

It's possible, but you'd have the strut brace going over the top of your parcel shelf, not exactly the "stealthy" look. I'm sure you could custom make a parcel shelf or something to hide it.

Whiteline make them, adjustable and non adjustable, 22mm rear sway bar and you'll be laughing around corners

Thats sway bar. I think he's after a rear strut brace. Never heard of them for the magna.

By the looks of it they never got finished.
I can see that it's possible, but not sure if anyone makes them.

Thankyou gentleman. I will do some more research on them and see what I come up with.

I know a lot of people will jump down my throat for even suggesting this - but I found that the front strut brace was a big fat waste of money. A far better result was had by installing a larger rear swaybar. By a LOOONG shot.

Tried the strut brace on both an Exec and the AWD - no difference... ho hum.

To get the benefits of the strut brace you really need to install the ALK (castor kit with antilift) and camber bolts (The latter is more for lowered cars) This will improve the static castor and significantly improve the dynamic camber - Sharper turn in on cornering. All your strut brace will do is ensure that your camber/castor settings remain as close to your original settings as possible during hard cornering. It in itself will do nothing unless you have tuned your front end to a more aggressive setup. It's a common mistake to install the strut brace at the start. It's really one of the last things to do to the suspension, but cause it looks trick and is easy to install, everyone including myself tends to buy them straight up.

That why a lot of people complain they do nothing.- A stock front end is still a stock front end with a strut brace.

Start with uprated front and rear swaybars, good tyres, shocks and struts, Anti-lift caster and camber kits (latter only if needed) and then look a strut bracing.
