Would probably cost just as much to replace the whole mirror assembly. There are clips at the back of the mirror that are pretty weak, any force that can smash the mirror has probably broken them too. I dont think they are easy to replace either.

Dude ive done both..
Someone decided to pull the glass out of my drivers one last year.. I got the glass from mits for $20..
And i decided to hit my passangers mirror on the fence at home last month and crack the plastic.. Mits wanted 300 odd dollars to replace it..
Wrecker wanted $30 for complete Exec mirror and mate paninted it for a case of beer..:P

Hi.
A kangaroo decided to run into my driver's side mirror a few weeks ago. Well,
his tail hit the mirror and his body dented the front guard. The mirror body was
not damaged, but the mirror glass shattered and fell out.
I got it fixed as part of a Qld roadworthy check (transferring NSW rego to Qld). They
charged me $20 for the glass, and six minutes labour to fit it (I kid you not, that's what
they put on the bill). I guess they got it from Mitsubishi, but they didn't say.
I didn't see them fit the glass, but from what I saw of the insides of the mirror
assembly after the broken bits fell out, the new glass probably has some prongs
at the back that just click into place. Don't know for sure, but that's what it
looked like!
The car is a TJ Exec.
