Now seeing as the TF magna 3.0 auto doesn't have a Power\Economy button would something as outlined in here...

help out at all? I know the gearbox is supposed to learn your driving style but the part near the bottom of the article titled "learning transmissions" made sense.

Nope. Basically the circuit they are describing is already built into your transmission (well technically into your transmission computer), as to why you have no Power/Eco switch.

Now you pointed out about the "Learning Transmissions" section where it described a situation which you may encountered: transmission becomes lazy and reluctant to adjust to 'power' mode.

It's unfortunate the computer can become lazy, and unfortunate that there is no physical Power/eco switch either for the user to 'force' it into a particular mode. Thus that particular circuit won't work because it needs access to a physical switch, or at least electrical inputs on the trannie computer to force it into 'power' mode, which I highly doubt it exist.

when it gets lazy, turn off the engine, restart it and hammer it like u are running from the cops, should fix it :D seems to work for me or i'm just imagining it...my cars seems a lil more responsive when i leave uni... i wonder why... hmm  (i get the hell outta that place as soon as i can)

basically when u want "power" mode, leave it in 3 (limiting the gear selection to only 1-2-3 gear), you want "economy" u put it in D (letting it choose from 1-2-3-4 gears)

u will notice that the older automatic cars only have L 2 D (and an overdrive button) but newer magnas with the learning TCU have L 2 3 D
