Ive been looking into trying to shorten the final gear on the box for quicker bottom end at the expensive of top end.
So far its been an uphill battle, most ppl not interested....
Just wondering if anyone else has thought/asked about this.
Id rather not do a manual conversion, prefer the auto to just be quicker.
Cheers,
Russell

what expense at top end? the car is apparently speed limited at 210km/h, so by changing the final ratio, logically you would be sitting at a higher rev but still be limited at 210km/h, and how often would you be travelling at 210km/h

ummm no boozer sorry, i think he means he wants to have quicker acceleration at the expense of top speed ie. 180km/h at 6000 rpm instead of 210km/h at 6000rpm.
If i was you i would look at the diff, and would try to change the ratio from there. But remember that it is still an auto and still changes gears for you, so you don't want your ratio to be too short or it will be a pain in the *** driving.

lets just say u aren't sitting at 6000rpm @ 210km/h in 4th gear (auto), at 210km/h i can't remember how high the rpm is but i know for a fact its somewhere around 4500-5000ish there abouts.

Ahh, in that case, it'll probably be cheaper to install the 5spd auto. Much better bottom
end due to shorter 1st.
Ha mate keep trying im shore someone will help you out with your transmition
