hi recently installed a redline pod on my kr verada v6 then in an ebay frenzy bought a blitz stainless steel pod. both pods have a 4in mouth to fit the 4" redline adaptor anyhow all was ok but it just seemed to lack a bit of grunt down low but give it heaps and it was fine. however tonight i decided to experiment, i went down to the hardware store and got a 4" to 3" reducer. at this stage it is very agricultural. i duct taped the reducer to the inlet adaptor and pod to adaptor but pod was a snug fit into 3" reducer side. took the car for a drive and noticed i seemed to have a little more power and better throttle response.
do you think it could have been leaning out down low or was just drawing too much air and the ecu couldnt respond. now have a near new drift pod on which i had on my R31 skyline . this is a smaller pod and only draws from the sides not all over.
does this sound right to you guys. pod alterations to be rectified tomorrow.
