went to repco purchased a new isc and CV joint set with rods both sides with some replacement seals.. might as well do them at the same time. so it took me about 5 minutes to replace the isc and when its cold it starts and idles fine ref to prev post (post: i think its the fuel pump, dont know how to post link)
now though, when its warm it doesnt keep up the idle and dies still.. i adjusted the throttle position so it seems to idle better when warm (700-750 rpm) well see how it goes with cold..

Hi, how much was the isc & how long to install?
RACV quoted me $200 so i just turned the idle up without fixing it, i think it's about time i got to it.

Does the (Check Engine Light) come on when it dies?
Or does it stay on when you turn the ignition on?
Might be the fuel relay pump.

heh it was definitely the ISC.. bought $129 from repco, recon mitsu one. apparently its an EXTREMELY common problem. can was running a bit harsh after.. oh yeah, no more than 5 minutes to install. so i turned the throttle up and drove around like that. spoke to a dude at toyota yesterday, he advised to pull the negative off the battery for the night and then in the morning start the car and run it for a few minutes. you should have seen his face when i said ISC for the 92 magna.. its just THAT common. was getting a bit discouraged when it was running the same this morning but thought id leave it on for a bit.. and wala, the revs started creeping up and stayed pretty even.. i put the throttle back into original position.. if not a bit down even.. currently revving at about 775-800 RPM when warm. we'll see how it runs tomorrow..
EDIT: ill let you guys know how it went with the CV joints when i replace them
