Looking at the X-force mufflers. Would the 5x8 bodys be quieter than the 6X9?

Seen a few posts where people have said the smaller the body, the quieter it should be. Can anyone confirm?

Well i have a th sports. So the sports exhaust sytem is there, no need to replace. The muffler is a must, and everyone seems to rave about the Xforce. I've heard the audio files and it souds fair tough, along with good gains. I would like it a little quieter tho. Would replacing one of my resonators, so maybe a 20", muffle the sound a bit?

So a smaller muffler body means a lounder sound. And just through the massive cannons i have seen, larger tips mean a louder sound.

looking at the xforce pto1, with twin 3" tips, and if it ends up being too loud switching the stock resonator for a larger 20".

Or getting the magnaflow 14801 as it has smaller tips, and then also looking at changing the resonator if its too loud. The magnaflow should be quieter due to the smaller tips however.

comments?
