:? hi, to be honest, i registered here for a problem with a friends car, i hope use dont mind giving me some advice: this is the story, just after starting, u hear this bubly sloshing sound of liquid sounds like just behind the dash, u pop the bonnet and it sounds like its from behind the firewall..
now, i took off the radiator cap, and this white foam forms just where the cap sits, could the sound be coming from the head and carrying back through the heater hoses or something, ... maybe a cracked head or dosent it sound so serious, i checked oil dipstick, oil seemed fine. i havent had the chance to road test it, to see if it overheats, or watever..
sorry about the long post :( ..
anyone have any thoughts?
thanks in advance

sounds like air in the heater core. I would be doing a monoxide test before assuming a cracked head, has the car been overheated in your knowledge

Yeah the heater core could be leaking behiend the dash and slushing around, check that out, for 4 dollars pick up some coolant hose plugs from super cheap.. these are silicone caps that hose clamp over the metal pole the hose connects to.

so how would i get to the hoses if i did that? to plug them if they were leaking, or would that be from the ones coming out of the firewall?

Follow those 2 hoses comming out of the firewall back to where they connect to the block. then put a cap over it and hose clamp it on.
