WTF is a revvy engine?
****, i wonder  likes to rev. Talking mostly in comparison to the 3.5L. Its why i prefer (marginally) the sound and feel of the 3L engine (unfortunately just lacks in the torque department).

1. Engine performance, reliability and of course the sound. Never broken down on me.:)
2. 17' VRX rims.
3. Exterior proportions/shape/looks are perfect besides the gaping front wheels arches. Pillarless windows, thick c-pillars and agressive front end top it off. Interior layout also spot on. Sit low with the dash in front of you.

1. Simply one of the best engines built in Australia. It loves dancing around the red zone! Very powerful for a small engine. :D
2. Chassis balance, ride, grip.
3. Its different. The underdog so to speak. It surprises everyone who rides in it, especially those brought up on Falcons and Commodores.

Oh! And the "Low friction technology"...Patent pending. lol
The 3 best things I like about my KH xi are :
1. Quietness & Cruises effortlessly at 100km/h@2000rpm
2. Understated and elegant styling & has all the options :)
3. Pretty frugal for a 3.5 V6 (averaging between 9 - 10L/100km)
TecoDaN
03-06-2006, 01:45 PM
1) Economy for its size (Though these days seems to be a moot point, old man's Alloytec 190 seems to be doing just as good as the Maggie)
2) frameless doors
3) Cheap purchase (resale for the win! [in my case])

03-06-2006, 08:48 PM
1. all guts in the top end, happy lil revving engine, feels like a 2 stage turbo boost (flatish under 3000rpm, comes to life between 3000rpm to 4000rpm, all hell breaks lose after 4000rpm to redline
2. deceptively fast (stunt mullet look on my red blooded commy mate)
3. handles well with stock suspensions

WTF is a revvy engine?
An engine thats as happy at 3/4 redline as it is at 1/4, try holding a falcon or commodore at 5 grand on a hills run, makes you feel mean.
For me.
1: Engine and gearbox combo, the ratios are just perfect(manual) this is evident in the quarter times and the point to point ability of a manual magna.
2: The interior, black black and some more black with a bit of grey, love it.
3: Induction and exhaust note next best thing to a v8, people can keep their inline sixes - as much as I love their capabilities.

I can't say much about my slowly dying 270,000km KS Rada  , but I'll give you at least 6reasons why I talked my mum into getting her 3rd gen Magna:
1) The look - 3rd gen side-on shot with those window lines still weakens my knees:P
2) The body - beautifully taut proportions
3) The power and performance
4) The engine note - I can never get enough of that sweet sounding 6G72 6!:P
5) The steering - very user friendly
6) FRAMELESS WINDOWS!!!:P
...and this is a stock TH 3.0L Exec!

so here it goes
1. Smooth lines of the car i love it
2. the front.....HOT!!! love the front of my car, with the ground effects lip
3. Interior, the smooth lines of the body continue on throughout the interior. most modern cars do not have an interior that matches the lines of the exterior.
cheers
Rhys
p.s i've got heaps more that i love about my magna and magna's in general

1. People forever telling me that the wagon is the classiest looking wagon around(compared to any other make) on the road today.
2. Value for money. Just cant beat it especially second hand. We have had features in our cars for 6+ years that falcodore have just caught up on and still not as good.
3. Great performance with the sleeper look. Can remember Motor gerno's saying that the Magna/Verada has the best driveline package(Engine/tranny) out of any localy made car. I would say thats still true to this day other than maybe the current 6 speed slusher in a falcon.

1 - the drink holder that holds dual square 600ml iced coffee carton AND round cans of coke!
Designed by MMAL to hold a Farmers Union Iced Coffee as well as cans? I think so :D
1) AWD handling and grip - a joy to drive. Everyone who has driven my car loves it, and does corners way to fast compared to a typical family car. So much so, I usually won't let them drive it after I've seen what they do  Only I get to do that! The AWD's were Mitsubishi's greatest secret - what a shame :(
2) Frameless windows, and generally just nice inside the cabin (a little plain in some ways, but everything I need is there, and a bit more). Would like a temp outside readout like in a vectra, but I'm going to do that as a mod when I get time later this year
3) Trusty and reliable (but still fun, unlike my '93 camry v6). Good power from relatively simple technology means easier to fix when it gets old! (and I only gave up on the '80 GH sigma in 2003, so longevity is important to me)
