With petrol fast approaching $1.50 a litre and LPG sitting pretty on about 50-odd cents (in the eastern states), LPG in the 380 is looking like a good thing. So I contacted Mitsubishi Motors (http://www.mitsubishi-motors.com.au) via their website.

A month ago I e-mailed Mitsubishi asking why the 380 VRX and GT models are noted to be NOT compatible with LPG while their other 380 models ARE compatible. Seeing as they have the same engines I see no reason why all models can't be run on gas.

I received a phone call confirming my question and saying that they would look into the question. That was 2 weeks ago with no answer yet. Is it so hard for Mitsubishi "helpdesk" (http://www.mitsubishi-motors.com.au/mitssite/jsp/pages/company/contactus/contactus.jsp) to call Tonsley park and get back to a prospective purchaser?

Does anyone out there know the answer?

Not an expert on mechanicals but I suspect its to do with valves/valve seats?' These are different in gas-ready engines.
