I was talking to a mate today who works at the local Mitsu dealer in spare parts and he tells me that the 380 has 2 different steering racks. One for cars with 16 inch wheels and another for cars with 17's. Why do you think that they have done this? I cant really see the sense in it unless they have different suspension geometry between the two. Ideas anyone?

I'd say it has more to do with the suspension setup, of which there are only 2. One is for the softer suspension on 16s, and the other for the firmer sports suspension on 17s.

I can't imagine how it could have anything to do with the wheel size (at least a 1 inch difference:confused: ). Perhaps a more mechanically minded person can confirm this or not...
