Was it fairly simple to do man? Can you give me any advice on doing it? Does it also make the brake lights flash?

It was hard at first but if i had to do it again i could do it a lot quicker and easier. At first i mounted the strobe into the headlight in the wrong place which ended up on me breaking a strobe bulb. I then decided to mount it through the bottom of the headlight which worked a treat and to stop it fallling out the headlight i glued it on.
I only bought a pair for the headlights but if u wanted the brake lights you would have to either buy 2 kits or look for a kit with 4 outlets.

to hook it up to foggies as well u would have to buy another kit or look for a kit with 4 strobes.

I see impounding happening pretty quick for the idiot caught with these...
Im no RTA expert, but impersonating a cop through flashing headlights would be a big no no.
They got rules as to flashing lights, as well as the use of red, blue and yellow lights.
If u want strobes go to a nightclub.
*not saying it doesnt look cool, just not something id do.

i'll just shut up now
there has been a M3 around for ages when them, there are a few videos of it driving around, just search M3 with strobes or something. i have one somewhere.
it looks cool driving
hehehe, its one of those things that is kinda cool, but u'll put them on maybe once every other month :P You cant even use them in a car park or anywhere near a road cause that'll seriously cause some accidents.
id personally put them inside the cabin (so what if you give yourself a seizures), but it'll look awsome from the outside.
I'd put them in, when theres morons driving stupidly below the speed limit. Or drives like a spastic all over the road. People talking on their mobile ect ect..

Agree.
They look cool and would be a fun party trick.
But they are a bit like undercar neons/leds.
- Don't use them during the day as you can hardly see them (if at all). :doubt:
- Don't use them at night because you don't know if those next set of headlights are a Police Car.
Having said that if they're cheap enough - then the occasional party trick would be worth it.
In the headlights - too much like your pretending to be a Police Car - Wrong!
Maybe better somewhere else - engine bay, under car, wheel wells, etc.

Im going to guess they are blowing because there is to much moisture where they are and because of the high current bursts going through the bulb.
Dont know..

i'd think my headlight bulb would blow before the strobe would if there was to much moisture..

My guess would be that someone at that party didn't think it was as funny as you did and they know a bit more about wiring than you do...perhaps how to make them blow.lol

i had them on a VP commodore, they were nuts with 14" chrome hub caps. my mates would hang out the windows down the free way at night watching them!
i think i still have them, they were centrifical force swiched leds, they came on a 40km/h
