Hey Guys,
Just a quick question - how do I go about adjusting the aim on third gen Verada lights? Had a quick look through the headlamp FAQ and couldn't see anything about it.
Cheers,
Ryan

should be like a windy thing on the top light when you have the bonnet open

On the 2nd Gens theres like a screw on top of the assembly, just twist it and you will see the beam move up and down, theres another one to move it left right.....hope that helps dood

Any idea where the left/right one is? I found the little screw to move them up and down but for the life of me can't spot any others for adjusting left/right alignment

the screw at the outer edges is for up/down and the one ut the rear of the assembly (screw head facing firewall) is left right (has like a cog with teeth on it thats the one.

Make sure you're aligning them to the beam pattern that they should be distrubuting, not to what you want to see with better illumination.

Redav - What do you mean by that? I'm guessing you mean don't aim it up too high or too wide ?

Basically but there's a method where you have a template positioned at a certain height and distance from the car which you use to align your lights. I don't know the specifics. The thing is that if you don't and do it to what you think makes things easier for you to see then you'll probably adversly affect the vision of on coming traffic. You may even have a cop or transport authority defect you if they have a hunch something is not right.
Try heathyoung and see if he know's where to find the right info. He's a lighting guru here.

Ah Ok.
Well the method I used for adjusting mine is
1. Drove car onto flat blank street
2. Adjusted lights until I had the light angle I wanted
3. Took it for a quick drive to see how the angles are on the road
4. Parked it on the street again, got out and walked progressively backwards to check it doesn't shine brightly up into my eyes (also walked left to right at certain distances away from the car)
It seems OK. After I changed headlight globes it was basically pointing straight down and I couldn't see jack. Now with them adjusted upwards I can see nicely.

I'd still go track down a template. Have a look in a Gregories, I think there's a bit of a write up on it in there.

Hey all,
Tell me how much you love me?!
Here it is, for most 3rd Gens, Magna's and Verada's, how to aim your headlights!
