I am thinking of fitting a performance Muffler to my V6 TS. What experience has anyone else had doing this.
I will be selling the car in a year or 2, so don't want to fit extractors etc (Just Muffler). My thinking is that I will recover the cost in petrol savings and will get some performance benefit.
What brands are out there? On internet I have come across Lukey (Ultraflow) and it seems LR 2779 fits Magnas. Ultraflow is available in Mild steel (aluminium coated) and Stainless steel. Thanks in advance guys.

Hey mate! there are a few you can choose from although the gains arent that impressive!! you will have a nice sounding car and a bit more power but nothing massive. Mine has been a lot better on fuel though. Check out www.rpw.com.au i think they recommend the lukey also

Got a Redback sports (flow-thru) muffler on mine (with a 2.5" cat back exhaust) - been very happy with the sound of it - I like a grumble/growl/burble.

I have read on websites about resonators. What are they and would one fit one with for example Lukey LR 2779 Muffler?

I'd recommend a vortex muffler, the website is basic but you'll get the idea

As long as its fitted as per the fitting instructions on the website it will work wonders! It actually creates a vacuum in the exhaust system. It sounds very nice even on a 4 cyl (not like a crappy loud noise that you get with a lot of the sport mufflers), and it did make a difference on my car with performance and fuel economy.
Just ensure its installed correctly, as if its not done right the vortex effect won't be as good.
