Hi
Has any one changed the transmission oil in their 2002 TJ 2 Tiptronic?
If so
1. How did you do it?
2. What sort of transmission oil did you use?
3. How much oil does it take?
Is it like changing oil in the engine?
Cheers

best to get it flushed
but you can drain out the oil like the motor and refill it through the dipstick (note some magnas had a spin on oil filter)
use the genuine oil not dex3

No spin on filter for the TJs.

try this thread

2. What sort of transmission oil did you use?
Go to Mitusbishi spareparts counter and buy the Diamond ATF.
Its the best one and its the cheapest too, cheaper than Castrol etc.
3. How much oil does it take?
Buy 2 cans maybe 3. You'd use about 10-12L doing the flush.

Hi
Many thanks to those who have supported this thread.
The information given at
http://www.aussiemagna.com/forums/sh...ad.php?t=25324
is excellent. I will give it a go in light of Mitsubishi's quote for auto oil change.
One thing I have done on my three previous Magna wagons (including TN) over the years is change auto oil every year (Christmas). That's about 22K.
When I sold each car at well over 220K the autos were perfect and no issues during the life, no big bills, no off the roads.
Thanks for the input.
Cheers
