clarion magna got a exedy heavy duty clutch for around 600... but you have to grind out part of the flywheel to get it to fit.

PM Megatron........... apparently he can get hold of H/duty clutches for around $500 and can recomend somewhere that will modify it for around $100.

RPW will recommend a 10 paddle ceramic button clutch for a turbo magna.

I have a Xtreme H/D in mine, only difference is i got them to make me a 1200kg clamp force pressure plate instead of there normal H/D one which has a 1000kg clamp force.

They have 2 different types for the 3.5L magna on the shelf.

Part Numbers:
KMI24003HD which uses a full style clutch disc with organic facings and 1000kg clamp force pressure plate

OR

KMI24003DCBHD which uses ceramic facings on the clutch disc and a 1000kg clamp force pressur plate.

Heres a link to there website:

Hey thanks for the info, but I was wondering why they had 2 clutches? If one better than the other, or are they for different applications? Oh and do you have an approx trade price on each and how much extra was it for your greater clamping plate?

machined

Also stay organic, if you where to go button the gear box would proberly fall apart

If you take your current clutch, pressure plate and flywheel to a brake and clutch place, they can make you a custom one or will send you to the people that do.

A guy in blacktown (NSW) told me he would make me a billet lightened flywheel to match my standard dimentions, 6 puck clutch plate and presure plate with higher clamp force for around $1400 mark. I can get the name of the joint if your a sydneysider.

The machining company i used to work for use to machine up the thrust bearing housing/supports and the pressure plate discs for ACS, so i got the higher clamping pressure plate made for me at a very good price (next to nothing)

The reason so i am told that they have 2 different H/D clutch kits is that one has a organic full style clutch disc (similar compound to standard and good for stop/start driving) and the other has a ceramic paddle clutch disc (which can handle higher temeratures and supposedly more abuse but can be a bit painful in city driving) both use the same 1000kg clamp force pressure plate which is about 25% higher clamp force than the standard magna unit.
