shouldn't it be covered under warranty?

get a flathead screwdriver, put a tea towel over the end and lever the arm rest out of the door. Smell the switches as I had one of them burn out. Easy and it only takes a sec to check.

wasnt a magna though, but i'd assume they would have similar setup kinda

Did you buy it from a dealer or privately?
If you bought it from a dealer it'll have a 3 month warranty on it.

in the dark.. the drivers window switch will have a little illuminated picture on it... check if that is illuminated.. if not that means the switches aren't even powered. '

mine stopped workin a couple of times and that picture wasn't on.. so i hit he door trim a few times and it came back on again.. lol

in the fusebox under the bonnet look for the window icon, also check the window relay in the same box, swap it with your horn relay to test it. Good luck

I take it your refering to all power windows and not just one?

If its just one then you probably have a power window regulator failure where the plastic cog strip gets eaten by the window motor, in effect stuffing the motor - common design fault.

Stupid question, but you didnt bump the power window childlock switch did you? perhaps this switch has failed. Cant remeber if the drivers window will go down with this button activated though.

Front windows will still go down with child lock on.
