Hi all
I’ve got something strange going on with my TS at the moment. When I first start the car in the morning it revs as normal but when I get to a place where I've got to stop the engine revs drop to idle then the car cuts out. It does it until the car has been running for about half an hour then its fine. I’ve run injector cleaner through it and run it on premium for 2 weeks (petrol prices these days are ridiculous) and its still doing it. Ive got no idea what is wrong with it and any help or advise would be greatly appreciated
Thanks.

idle speed controller.
Or ISC, typical symptons, i had the same thing as well as a few others on here.
You will need to replace it, i got a recoed t/b for $90 change over which worked wonders.

You didn't have the battery disconnected at any stage perchance? This screws with the ISC settings, and it has to relearn.
The fact that it stops happening when it warms up seems to me to indicate that the ISC is still working to some degree? Have a look at the "Tr-ts,kr-ks Service Adjustments" thread a bit further down, might need a base idle adjustment.

the longest the batery was disconected was about an hour while i was installing my two amps would that have caused it you thiink? and is there any other side effects of the ISC playing up like the computer shorting or something like that?

Sorry about the picture quitly but it was dark. lol

you don't need to remove the ISC to do this.

you need a multi-meter.

turn off car.

unplug ISC.

you will notice two rows of three pins.

test the first row three for Ohms, then the second row for Ohms.

if you get a no reading on any then you need a new ISC.

Easiest way that I know is to disconnect the loom and with a multimeter on the pins check to coil resistances. On a TR each coil should be about 88 ohm and taped at about 32/56 ohm.
If either coil is open circuit then it needs replacing.
