Hi Guys,
The outer leather part on my KJ Verada (airbag) steering wheel is worn and ugly. Mitsu want $450 to replace the outer part of the wheel.

I've considered covers, but the interior is the beige colour and as such the wheel is brown. I haven't seen any leather covers which would suit, in a similar colour.

I'm in NSW, is there anywhere which can retrim the wheel in a timely manner for me? Or is there another option anyone can suggest to get the wheel looking like new again?

I've already had a detailer paint the wheel but that didn't fix the problem of the stitching coming apart and looking ugly.

I just want the wheel to look neat and standard again, same colour etc.

Suggestions appreciated

Ryan

I noticed that but there's multiple problems

1. It's a non airbag wheel

2. It's grey and silver

3. It's not going to match a damn thing in the rest of my interior..

try a mob that does 'custom interiors' for rice-hondas or something...uno ppl that redo people's entire 1986's plastic japanese CRX interior into a nice place to be...

yeah, ring them up and see if they can wrap your steering wheel in some nice new dead-cow

Well it's my daily driver so the less days off the road the better. I could probrably manage 3 days actually, do you have contact details for this ATUC place? Also, you got a pic of your retrimmed wheel? Just interested to see the quality..

Thanks mate

I posted that link not long ago. I am very happy with this wheel cover. Beats that useless junk that auto stores sell. Nice feel and a good fit. Takes about 45-60mins to stitch on.
