Hi there, my 93 verada has had the suspension fail in it, it is the ecs model, for the last couple of weeks i noticed i was acting funny, would jack up one end of the car and not the other, then you'd park it the next day and it would have opposite ends jacked up, then a few days ago the system stopped working altogether, the lights on the dash don't even light up when you swtich on the ignition, checked the relays and fuses, all are good, took it to mitsu and they want to replace the most expensive parts first, the airbags, compressor ect, way too much money, plus with it's erratic behaviour leading up to it's demise and the fact that i am getting nothing from the system, no warning lights or lights on startup would lead me to beleive that the culprit is either a loose plug or a fried control module.

So the question is, does anyone know what goes on these things and what might be worth replacing? if i could get it fixed cheap it would be good as i do a fair few dirt roads so the extra height and stiffnes was good for that, so was the self leelling when i towed the trailer, if i have to rip the suspension out and fit normal struts and springs I think i can do the ob myself, and have decided to get some stiff springs, maybe lowered a little, and just mate them up with some second hand struts untill i can afford decent ones.

so who makes decent springs for the tr magna? kings? lovells? pedders? i know pedders have springs for $82 each, anyone know how much the others cost and where dealers are around s.e melbourne?

Thanks in advance. Rick

yeh best bet would be to change to normal spring/strut setup.

Kings are about $110 a pair. dunno bout the rest.

I just ended up buying normal struts and springs from a wrecker and fitting them myself, took about 4 hours all up and cost me $165. they're actually not too bad exept the front right which has bottomed out a few times, I might just look at getting a set of king springs for the front.
