Hi, found this forum when trying quite unsuccessfully to obtain reviews etc on a 2003 magna tl 3.5 auto sedan. I am in the market for a ‘new to me’ car and this car has caught my eye here in perth. John Hughes is selling it for 16990 but with guaranteed 3k trade in for my used car (at a push worth 1k) its going for 13990. On the face of it looking around the second hand market it looks very good value – I have read some not so favourable comments about it but in our current situation – just bought a house / have baby on the way, my criteria for selection would be, safety, value, simple a to b practicality , reasonable fuel economy. It is to replace my 89 ford falcon ea which has been an excellent car for me but doesn’t cut it in the safety department. We would also want to buy a small run-around for city driving, as my wife isn’t too happy about a big v6 sedan but we do a fair amount of highway driving down south and have semi-concluded that rather than getting 1 car fits all we will get two (which we have at the moment – hers is a 87 ford laser !).
Any advice or input would be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks

Hi
I just bought an 03/03 TJ11, today. Its a wagon, my third mag wagon in a row. (love em)
A bit different in handling in the rear, to sedan, but still very good. I paid, I kid you not, $10,500 with 15 months warranty. Just ticked over 80000 k's, that's ok cause I am a light user. Goes like the wind and the auto is superb (imo).
Hope to keep for 3 to 4 years and then move to 380 wagon (when released), when its 2 to 3 years old. Well that's the plan at the moment. Love those wagons.
Cheers
Geoff

They are kick *** cars for the price, 4x Airbags, ABS, EBD Power windows, Cruise, Climate Alarm/Immob. Smooth and powerful yet good on the juice
what more could you want for that amount.
