Hi just after some info if upgrading the stock fuel pump would be a worth while mod? if yes what would be the best fuel pump to go for? i did a search and couldnt find anything on fuel pumps at all.
probably wont do much for a stocko engine... the fuel pump that mitsu put should be fine... unless you've changed something like injectors and they require a different pressure or more flow.

What are you doing to the car that the stock fuel pump isn't up to the task????
Jasons VRX is making bull**** power (294kW at the engine or something), and cthulhu is making 210(odd)kW at the treads. Both what I would call heavily tuned NA applications, both using factory fuel pump and injectors.
Turbos / superchargers...... different story.

Is it the torque production that makes the difference? What is it about a turbo that requires so much more fuel at similar power outputs?

well it was just a thought for a next mod ive done most of the common stuff k&n filter cai high flowed throttle body extractors cat-back exhuast unichip heavy duty clutch just wanna do another mod but nothing to expensive was looking around under a $500 and thought that the fuel pump would do some good.if not may just skip it for now then

wcani85 - A bigger fuel pump wont give you more power. Its only useful when your car is flowing enough air into the engine that it cannot supply enough fuel and the injectors are close to their maximum duty cycle. In other words, a significant power increase. The standard fuel pump should be fine upto around 200-210kw at the engine. You have pretty much covered all the cheap engine mods. Maybe look at something with your suspension. A car is only as quick as it handles.
Black Beard - which is funny considering my car needed a bigger fuel pump with only 168kw at the wheels.
greenmatt - turbos introduce compressed air into the engine. Basically in order to keep the air fuel ratio at a normal level you need much more fuel in the engine to make up for the compressed air. At a similar power output a n/a and turbo version of the same engine should have similar fuel consumption

Now that I think about it, I'm not confident that Jason is running factory fuel pump, but he is running factory injectors (at 99% duty cycle). But Brendan did confirm with Dallas from street torque that he was still using the factory fuel pump........ so yeah, it is weird. Might have something to do with the E6X
All I know for sure is, my next mod will require a bigger fuel pump, and more than likely bigger injectors...... but in about a month I'll know exactly what the limitations of the factory fuel system were.
