hey guys. i have EL gauages on my dash and today i kinda fixed em up a bit more coz it was rubbing against the needles. while doing that i kinda lifted the tacho needle a bit and now its a bit lose. wat my question is, is that needle spring loaded? if i take the needle off will i lose the calibrations Mitsi set it to? so now it wont be accurate? pliz help me out. i pushed the needle back in but when i start my car the needle jus stays there so i lifted it a bit more thinking it might be on to tight but its not. pliz help

Take off the el gauge a check that moves freely,

The el gauges have a thin plastic protective layer on them, this plastic can cause the needles to stick if they overhang the cut outs

when i first installed them i fixed all that but as time went by when the car is driven for a while the dash heat up a lil and the gauages kind pop up so i glued them on. so i think im stuffed

wat will happen if i take the needle out from the tacho? will i lose any calibrations? coz wat i was thinking bout doing was taking the needle off and jus trimming back the gauage a lil bit so it moves freely.

okay can you remeber where the needle sits while ideling?, after you take it off and redo the EL gauges fit it back into th car with out putting the needle back on fit the cluster back onto the plugs in the dash and start the car if your car is cold let it warm up to normal operating temp and thn place the needle back on dont push to hard so its on if you know what i mean, the give it arev and if it moves freely and you like it turn off the car and see if it sits back down on 0 RPM the push the neddle on firmer and put it back together.

Hows that for ya

wat inverter? mine were never stuffed, they always worked they were just rubbing against the needle. how did you do yours? is it just sitting there or is it glued on?
