Sand the terminals or scratch with a blade of some sort. You need to restore good metal to metal contact.

Not sure what this connector looks like, but if it's a bunch of terminals inside a moulded plug and they are hard to get to, then fold a bit of Emery paper around a thin flat blade screwdriver and sand the corrosion off.

Be careful not to short any live terminals though!! :D

i tried that but there is close to no room is there like a spray that cleans the terminals

Could use something like electrolube or CRC contact cleaner.

Have you tried a small file? A nail file may be too weak but it may work.

i started a thread about this in 2nd gen section ages ago....evry now and then i give the contacts a spray with WD40 and shes all good!

u would have to go to a wiring loom place n get the plugs replaced to fully fix the problem, the corrosion isnt just surface corrosion

mine was doing the same thing, took it to a wiring loom specialist and had the plug replaced, cost like $10....

Go to your local $2 shop and they sell these little wirebrushes size of a toothbrush,
they come in a 3pk of steel/copper/nylon bristles.

I used the steel one to clean up my corroded plug.

Replace plug and find out how water got in there eg perished boot.
Fix that with 'leccy tape or heatshrink tubing + silicone.
Then shoot some WD40 in there also.
