Hi,
Is someone able to recommend a reliable Northern Sydney based Midas / Ultratune to replace the timing belt for a TF?
I'd prefer a lower cost mechanic for this service - Northsore Mitsu charged an arm and a leg for the 80k 'minor' service. ($700).
What ballpark figure will I be looking at for the 100k service? I am aware that I get what I pay for.
Thanks

I know a sole operator who is sensational and usually does good prices at Hornsby/Asquith.
Plus he's the one who works on your car, not an apprentice.
Interested?

Looking at my 45,000 km major service when I got the car I had everything, and I mean everything replaced, engine flush, tranny flush, premium synth oil, air filter, new coolant, new brake fluid, new tranny fluid, front sparks, efi clean think from memory that was around $450 incl gst
Plus you know the car isnt going to be apprenticized

Have you dealt much with North Shore Mitsu? I just bought my 2004 Magna from them but wasn't too sure about their service department. If they're likely to charge like the clappers, i might take it somewhere else for my servicing.
Cheers

Their shocking. I can't stand them.
Had a major issue with the pealing rear windscreen that was a common fault. Actually, according to them, no magna has a common fault. Anyway, they accused me of causing it. Took it to Top Ryde when they were still Mitsubishi, replaced the rear windscreen that day.

I had a feeling they were bad. I had to get a 12in length of hose for my windscreen washer. he charged me about $10. I told him that was pretty expensive and he said that was for a metre.
I told him that in that case, i wanted the rest of the metre!
