Hey all

As some of you know my partner and I are Comming up to MM06 this Year YER BABY and we are driving from Victoria to the Gold Coast (catching the boat from Tasmania). We are going through the middle of NSW ( through parks and moree etc) and was wondering can people please post what they would get Checked out/ Done on there cars Before, During and After the Drive. We will be driving 2,300 up there and then whatever we do cruising while we are up there and then of course another 2,300 to get home. My car will be averaging 600 - 700km's a day. Basicly i just want to look after my car and not kill it so please any pointers/info/help would be greatly appreciated.

heres my cars config here

2002 VRX
Manual
will have 80,000 on the clock when we go (thereabouts)
Serviced every 5,000

umm i cant think of anything else if u guys can post it and i will let you know

Thanks heaps in advance

Heath

I'd just get a decent service and safety check, timing belt and wheel bearing people are just over worried i drive to Airlie beach all the time (12 hours straight) and ive done it heaps in a VN, 93 Laser and the Magna with no hassles whatsoever, cars are made to drive!

Just cause your going on a long trip doesnt mean anything. Its no different to driving at home, prolly better for your engin cause its staying warm.
Just get a decent service and safety check like BR377 said.
