Hey adz.
So this is your new mod aye?

Honest opinion? I still prefer the old grey version. Looks much meaner and nicer.
Sorry
Looks like you went to a wreckers and grabbed a black colour coded grille from a bombed out TS and now it's awaiting respray.
I think you need to upgrade to a KS verada grille. Or if you want, my old TS grille haha

Or maybe you should get a hold of one of these babies...

yess... glad i get some honest opinions...
well it was either black, silver(in teadrops on skirts) or colour coded blue..
so i might have to try some other colours..

I think colour coded would be good

Colour coded...There's not enough black elsewhere to make that black grille fit in. It looks like it's a spare part that hasn't been painted yet to me...

Yeah and from far away people might mistake it for not having a grille at all

Well done for trying something new and being brave enough to post it.
But as others have said, IMO it doesn't match the rest of the car. The rest of the car is nicely colour coded (gotta get mine done  ) - follow this through to the grille.
I'd go with a KS Verada Grille if you can find one - colour code it (with a meshed or black centre if you must - not sure?).

...well it was either black, silver(in teadrops on skirts) or colour coded blue... So are your sideskirt teardrops painted silver?
Mine are all burgundy (same as car), always wondered how they would look like with a different colour.
I expect yours with the light blue & silver would look better than mine would with burgundy & any other colour.

...also, do you get many stone chips around the hole (end of the teardrop) ? - mine's chipped to hell - stupid country roads

yeh its the nissan pathfinder silver/gold metallic..
gives it a nice bit of contrast..(still haven't cut it back and polished it thou...)
no i haven't got any stone chips as of yet. " touch wood "
well the grille was just a trial run.. i will most likely be changing it...(although it looks awesome in real life IMO)
i will be posting back up tonight a photochop of the back of my car with a black garnish..
get everyone's opinion before i bog it up and spray it :)

i was wondering why i thought silver would be good, i just noticed the teardrops under the doors, i think the silver would suit best as colour coding is good but i prefer the contrast on parts for instance the teardrop, grille and in the interior. For instance im going to do my interior orange and black, black dash (all vinyl) and orange on the strip across the dash and other parts etc...(BTW im going to get my car resprayed so dont give me the comment all my friends give me when they see the orange panels on my doors "Orange doesnt go with maroon")

I guess what im saying is, go SILVER :D

As you say, photos never really give the same feeling. If you like it, then keep it! :)

I currently have an all-dark-metallic-grey KS/diamante grille, normally it looks good, but I'm thinking of spraying the slats silver to give some contrast, to show up the divider. I've GIMPed up a heap of different versions, and I have found, for mine at least, that colour-coding makes the grille look too chunky. To my mind, black with silver slats fits in with the dark/light contrast of the parabolics, and doesn't look like every other colour-coded magna out there. Also gives a kinda phoenix-like look to the grille :P

i recekon the same colour in a tr grille with a big chrome mitsu badge like on the tl magna front on it would look better then the chrome would break up the black

The black looks out of place, i'd choose something else. That VH style grille though looks really hot on the 2nd gen.

Nah, standard parras, just the photo angle, getting a ring effect of reflection. With the superwhites now in there, from that angle you see a ring of blue.
