just a quick question. i have a tw vrx with the 6 stack in dash "premium" sound. the speakers are:-factory tweeters & front speakers & factory 6x9 in the rear. will the h/u eb powerful enough to run a nice pair of splits & 6x9s without an amp. ive got jbl 6.5 splits & pioneer 6x9s i took out of my tj before i traded it. these were running of a pioneer mosfet h/u. was never really happy with the fronts, not a great deal of clarity. was thinking this time of something along the lines of focal, infinity etc. i know everything sounds better with an amp but dont want to muck around too much.

Nah mate, without an amp, they wont go much louder, well lets just say whatever you run off the HU at full blast you will still be able to comfortably talk over.
If your gonna spedn the money on some kick *** splits and speakers, definatly get an amp bro

Splits and a decent amp to run them is worth the mucking around.

No point buying decent splits without giving them a decent signal. If you dont wanna amp, get some cheaper splits that will still sound nice but wont leave as big a hole in your pocket.
