Hi,

I'm thinking of getting a 380. Anyone got any real world fuel economy figures.

Thanx in advance

Yes, I drive very conservatively and can achieve 8.4L/100km on a purely highway 100km/h cruise.

However, the city cycle consumes significantly more fuel - around the 13L/100km mark. My car has only clocked up 2000km and so I hope it will be run-in soon.

My combined readout currently is 11.9L/100km. To be honest I was expecting a bit better, especially since my KH Verada uses less than this, and statistically the 380 is supposed to be more economical than the 3.5

Hope this helps!

Just clicked over 10,000 kays so engine nice and loose. 5 spd auto, combination city/hwy but mosty peak hour city use. Fairly conservative driving usually averaging around 11.7-11.9 per tank. I dont have too much trouble getting it up to 13-13.5 if im feeling frisky.

Have had it as low as 8.9 on a trip.

Going by the trip computer I am using around 12.4L per 100ks, mainly metro driving. My car has done 8000kms, however it does seem to get better with age. Mine is a company car though, so I may drive it a little harder as fuel is not an issue for me. But it is getting better fuel economy than my wife 2.4 litre Outlander which has done 3000km and averages around 12.7L per 100km.

I've just driven my 8,000th kilometre in my 380 company car, combined city/HWY economy presently is 10.9L/100kms - with a very heavy foot! (hey I can't help it!:D)

Though I was bored one day recently and took it out through the twisties, economy got out to 14.2L/100kms. But if you drive conservatively on a day-to-day basis with just a planting of the accelerator on weekends, you should get better than the official 10.8L/100kms reading.:)

well the 380 demo at work has done about 3500kms and is averaging something like 15.8L/100kms.. cant half tell everyone that test-drives it boots the crap out of it..

on the other hand, the managing directors GT that has done 8000-oddkms averages around 9.5L/100kms..

all comes down to driving habits..
