For a (TF) magna, is it better to point the car pointed uphill or downhill when parked for extended periods of time?

The hill is a noticable incline. The handbrake and park brake is applied.

Or is there in reality little difference?

I would guess that downhill is better...No real reason for thinking it but...I guess the fuel will not sit at the back of the tank...

I too park on a hill every day, I park faceing uphill, I spose I could face downhill...

i'll go downhill anytime, simplay because its easier when you drive off, release the brake there you go :)

if you park for a long period of time id say park facing down downhill so all the oil dosnt sit at the back of your motor. but either way you wont be damaging anything.

@ wooly your a nut lol

id say never park on hills....

i'd be more concern about other cars parked in front and behind you!!....

I'd park facing up-hill, for the simple fact it's easier for the handbrake to hold the car.

My handbrake is a little loose at the moment, and I find it will creep forward facing down hill, but will not budge facing up hill.

my drive way is fairly steep, and one thing i found from parking on hills is taking it out of park when you start the car next time doesn't feel good. so when i had an auto I always pulled the hand break on then took my foot off the break. then put it in park so it wasn't loaded up all the time.

Should always put a choke on at least one of the wheels. If parking by the kerb, turn the
front wheels left when facing downhill and right for uphill so that the kerb can act as a
choke.

thats a really idea never thought of that before, ive seen at least 3 cars rolling off hills, 2 of them were lucky enough to avoid hitting anything even though it was on busy road. However in one other instance ive seen a TN magna (which belongs to my dad coupla yrs ago) hitting a pole lol

God speaking of hills and chokes, my dad had a trailer at our house once, was sitting on the side of the road just behind where I park my car, it was choked with bricks. It was preventing me driving into my parking spot so im like 'no matter, ill just park ahead of the spot and back in'

Natrually I nudged the trailer ever so slightly, it jumped its chokes and started rolling down the hill....Of course, I was fully aware that further down was our neighbours car. I tell you thats the worlds worst feeling, just seing the trailer getting smaller in the rear view mirrow knowing its about to hit someone elses car. And then walking up their driveway to tell them
