Firstly, just curious how much it would cost to lower my 93' TR, that's including labour and springs?

Secondly, i've been pushing the gears a bit higher in revs lately, and i've just noticed that the car seems to idle ruffly (like bumpy) and further under 1000RPM rather then just under it, or on it, any idea's?

Also this seems to have also conicidently started happening, when I refilled last night. I use BP Premium, have been for the last three months with no problems, could it be a bad batch of petrol?

Cheers

If you've been pushing the car consistently harder then it's normal workload your spark plugs might (and I stress might) be suffering. ie. if the cylinder temperature is too high on a regular basis the plugs might be getting too hot. If the tip is white or blistered, try a colder plug. If the tips are brown with minimal crusties on them then the sparky are still okay for your style of driving and you need to look elsewhere.

Depending on where u get your springs from and who does the labour.
mine cost about $480 all up with brand new set of king springs front & rear & the labour cost so almost 500 bux. but others have paid more so suss out the best prices and buy the springs yourself. :D

Cost price for springs is around the $2-220 mark. Labour, going at $50 an hour shouldn't take longer than an hour/hour and a half with someone that has the right tools. I wouldn't pay any more than $400 to get it done professionally.

$480! God damn

$350 at Ozzie Tyres in Hoxton Park.

Just a question kinda off topic, are you able to buy springs that are more cushion than the stock ones?
Like give a nicer ride and smoother over bumps?

wheel arches sit even, but the car sinks more in the front (lines wise).

blehs more problems, it has a constant ticking noise in the engine now, don't know what it is. And surprisingly after doing 80 down footscray road, then going up spencer and stopping I see small amounts of steam/smoke coming out from the right hand side of the bonnet, then again it could be my breaks.

Any idea's guys, i'm at the end of my teather with the car now, that 180sx changed my mind so much....

Is there anything I can apply to the fuel to clean up the engine to run smoother and no noise?

Ticking could be tappets, try using a thinker oil, should be using about a 25-50w.

also, I dunno about my radiator, the coolant overflow bottle is fine, but the radiator is to the top with clear yellow liquid, so I don't think it's over heating or anything. Maybe i've just thrashed it way to much.

maybe something like shell "older engines" oil which is 25-60, and also a bottle of either lucas oil stabiliser or even nulon lifter free?
