People recommend the oval pod from k&n. Not sure if anyone else makes them, but you can put any pod you want on really if you get an adapter for it (available from autobarn).

Not much, $10-$20. Somewhere around there.
The oval pod from k&n costs quite abit, but is built especially for the magna. You can put a round pod on, but it can play havoc with the air sensor. Some people have problems, some dont.
Also if you are going the pod, i recommend you make some sort of box enclosure for it, a pod sucking in hot engine bay air will perform worse than an enclosed panel.

Nope, i decided spending $500 plus to do it properly wasn't worth it when i picked up a k&n panel for $40, no further modifications required :).

Get the right adaptor and you will no troubles
usually goes from a ROUND circle shape and digreses into an oval shape to suit the MAF, if it dont, wrong adaptor!!

That's probably the cheapest place you're going to find them.
Also that doesn't include the money you need to spend making a heatshield for the pod. You can probably make a dodgy one that will save you some money.

Autobarn sell them, but you're probably looking at around $200.

Maybe for a standard k&n pod, the magna oval pod sells no where near as much and such has a higher price. I think someone said they got theirs from autobarn for $179.

just buy a panel one coz theres no difference between them in terms of performance and at least the panel is cheaper and not much of fiddling around  part # 33-2151

Yeah but they'd need to have one in stock. Last time I went they didn't have one so I ordered one in and they got me a carby one.
Derrrrrr I work at AutoBarn, Skylines and Commodores are fully sik. Why would you want a filter for a magna derrrr.
Everyone I know that's ordered something from there, they've screwed up the stock nos.

what's the product number for the K&N oval pod filter? (i have a '94 TR, but it's the same filter for all magnas right)
i'll get some prices from autobarn/supercheap/etc. when i get home the week after next.
hopefully this won't cost me more than $200.
i'm going to have to set up some CAI too, hopefully it won't cost too much.
