Yea, what the title said!
I'm referring to the O2 sensor...I'm trying to replace it
I've sprayed WD 40, warmed up the engine (ouch the parts were hot!), used a hammer and wood chunk, and the sensor still won't budge!
What do I do now?
Would any sane mechanic charge me for getting them to help me pull it out?

Do it cold, when hot the nut on the exhaust expands as does the sensor.
mine was a real ***** to get out. ended up spraying inox (similar to wd40) 2 times a day for about a week, then had a breaker bar and a hammer and it eventually gave way, i thought i was gonna snap it off....

isn't a breaker bar an extended socket wrench? how did u fit the socket over the sensor?
The sensor is horizontal so I parked my car on a hill to let the WD40 will flow down onto the thread faster! :D:D:D

keep it wet with WD40 for a few days, when you go to get it off try tighten it up just a little bit then try to get it off.Sometimes going the other way a little bit will help free it up.
This works for diffficult spark plugs too.
Hope this helps.

Hot engine + flammable WD40 = not good ?

the WD-40 will evaporate long before it gets hot enough to ignite, even if you sprayed it onto your engine straight after a long hard drive it probably*wouldn't ignite.
* i only put that probably in there just incase you go out and flog your car then spray **** on your hot engine. i really doubt it would ignite though.
WD-40 isn't really that easy to light, a soaked part won't just burst into flames if you try to light it, you pretty much have to put a lighter in front of the can and spray the stuff into the flame.

a few days of WD40 soaking, a final blast with a Kluber (german) lubricant, and a swift hit with a hammer and a block of wood, and it's out! :D
Is the tip of the O2 sensor supposed to be all white?

another thing - can the O2 sensor wire is a bit long, so I just bundled it up...is that OK?

i'd say so, when tightening it twists round and shorten that way but remember it's made to sit next to a pipe that'd get to what temps (~400 deg)
and i wanna say watch out for flex piping, i got the **** cut out of my hands... i'd blame it for a good 20% of my 3 million cuts on my hands right now
