hey everyone whats going on in the world of the 2nd gen magna? lately this section has been boring as and all ive seen lately is 2nd gens being sold or wrecked. anyone got any exciting news or mods in their car? something that others may not have seen before? let us know so we have something more exciting to read about than a your car missing or how **** it is on fuel.

Hmmm, take a pic in daylight showing the whole car - it'd be interesting.

as for news... I got 18s (see my signature). But other than that, nothing's new.

i put my cannon on today:D and did an oil change (BP Visco 3000), new oil filter of course.

it's loud when i'm driving hard, but if i'm just cruising around it's pretty quiet, just a nice rumble. it actually sounds better than i had expected, and doesn't drone like i thought it would.
you can definately hear me coming though, no more sneaking home in the middle of the night for me, not that it matters anyway.

i have a new fuel filter to put in as well, but can't get the old one out, it's in a c#%t of a place to get to and i just can't get the old one undone. does anyone have any tips for getting it out?



next on the shopping list will (hopefully) be a K&N pod filter and maybe that fuel rail kit.
you all know what filter i'm talking about, but does anyone have a price? i'm not sure how much it's going to cost because (i think) they are about $200 at RPW, but i got them to get a price for me at work and they told me that they are like $600:shock: shurely there has to be something wrong with that, i mean, $600 is a bit steep for an air filter.

do you think many places would stock that filter, or would it have to be ordered in?

my 1/2 cut was awd.... i didnt think they made awd n/a gto's.... magna's bonnet is off... wont take long tomoz.... DOHC is sitting pretty ready to be fitted.... haha was lifting it up thinking wtf is catching.... wasn't exhaust was driveshaft...

Only thing left that I want done sometime soon is an exhaust. After that I wil leave it alone as I need all my money for buying a house.

they where just going to throw them out
some 2nd hand tyers kelly and hanook for $120
and i have a cheap set of 17s
now the offset is +35 (recomended is +28 - 42) which means they stick out a lil on the front about 3mm
the back's are ok
and cornering has inproved 100% :D
i have center caps but i need bigger wheel nut's as the caps lock onto the nuts
if you want a set just find out what car has stock 17" steelies's whith a stud pattern of 5x114.3 and an offset of +38 - 42 and go to a tyer place thats near a car dealership

ye jellico if you lower it your ride will look so simple and sexy. and even if you paint the wheels black will look awsome but lower it hardcore style. Gerard is selling a full set of lowered struts and that will look sex on your car

I was wondering if you could do something with halogens. Haven't really seen any replacements for standard light fittings; would be good for reverse lights, I reckon.
Might fit one in my bonnet if I ever get around to figuring out a switch location. Good for roadside checks at night, halogen would be great for that.

Did it work with just a straight hookup? Would think so, as they are 12V DC.
Very cheap, maybe $2 at woolies/coles/insertfavouritesupermarkethere

The light should be a lot whiter, correct?

somethings coming out soon, its a 2nd Gen magna thats all i give away :P, im keeping this top secret just for a few more weeks, just ordered new headlights and rims recently, adding to my big list of mods, dont give up on the 2nd Gens just yet.

It's been such a long time since I actually hooked up the socket that I can't remember how I did it. So I'll take pics of it. It's dodgy as but it works lol It was cheap as chips to do though. Make sure you get the 60 degree light, not the 38.

I still think they'd look the part painted dark gray or black. Stock steelies are different - I think the rim design & 17" size would keep them from looking like stockies.
Wonder how much it'd cost to get them chromed. lol

Great cheap mod for those with stockies and who can't afford new rims. Gets rid of the plastic wheeltrims - and that's gotta be good.

What do the centre caps look like? If you can't fit them, then maybe drop into a tyre or mag wheel place and see if any of the universal/replacement centre caps will fit.

i did the falcon steel wheel (large) first with BA 16" and 225/55r16s
