Greetings commerades.... I am becoming increasingly frustrated with my keyless:rant: I always have to press the green button twice to unlock all on my TJ; pressing it once only unlocks the drivers door. Does anyone know if/how the keyless can be made to unlock all with one press of the green button?
Cheers. ;)

1. Disconnect Battery
2. Locate BEM (module behind ignition switch)
3. Locate connector B120
4. On connector B120 cut wire to pin 1
5. Connect wire to pin 11 with wire already there
6. Locate connector B122
7. On connector B122 cut wire to pin 40
8. Reconnect Battery
Refer to workshop manual to see pinouts and connector locations
All care but no responsibility taken for the above modification. : )
PS ive done this on my KH verada

Is it a fairly simple, straight forward operation?

Make sure you look at a workshop manual to get the right wires. If you arent confident with this get an auto elec to do it for you. They shouldnt charge much.

Interesting to see someone bothered to reverse engineer the BEM? Good stuff, works well?
Instead of snipping wires, why not just eject the pin+wire from the plug
then piggyback the pin into the other pin in the plug, then its reversible.

I didnt consider reversal as the 2 stage unlock was driving me nuts

I had this prob a couple of years ago
http://www.aussiemagna.com/forums/showthread.php?t=13669
but alas I have almost trained myself to press twice.........the missus keeps a naggin, but it just aint workin'.
thanks to s_tim_ulate, I also discovered that once in the car a flick of internal door lock (on and off) will unlock all doors
Monkey KHXi and Magnette's idea sounds best....if I could get myself contorted under the dash
well done

Well the two stage central locking is a afety feature.. So that you or Lady driving doesnt have to have all the doors unlocked..
Yeah i know you can lock them once your in the car but thats a another thing..:P

I hated it at first but i'm actually glad for it now. It is a nice little safety feature :). Though sometimes the 2nd press doesn't recognise :(.
I do not understand why people try to remove something that the manufacturer added to
improve safety. As I mentioned in another thread, it is to do with anti-carjacking. Inforced
by the US government. Hence the Verada's got them and passed it down to the Magnas.
Its so that you or your girl or someone else walking to your car in an not-so-well lit area
can get into the car without having to unlock all doors as there may be someone hiding on
the other side ready to ge in as soon as you open the doors. Granted, it may not be
necessary here, but ......
