found em on ebay. what do you think?

This pair of 6.5" Kevlar component splits offers an impressive sound quality or a low price. The raw finish Kevlar cones are significantly stiffer and lighter than the paper/cardboard/PVC cones of other speakers in this price range. The tweeters use smooth sounding 25mm soft domes with a compact and eay to use mounting system with flush, angle or surface options (all hardware included). The outboard crossover features high grade internal components with variable tweeter attenuation for system tuning and polyswitch overload protection.

They look like the Response (Jaycar) splits.
If so very good value for money, but I find they tend to lack a fair bit of midrange.

If they are jaycar they are an older model, look down to the bottom forum on the jaycar group buy, you can buy brand new, 100wrms jaycar splits for $105 plus postage, how much is it on ebay?

**** that mate!
They're the old model AND they are more expensive than the newer better model.
If you had your heart set on pioneers i'm selling my 6" 3-ways next week when i get my new splits, but hey at the price of the jaycar group buy splits, i wouldn't blame you if you got those :P.

No they dont need to be amped. They are a reasonably light speaker so will run fine on low power. A 50-80W amp would be nice and sound better, but only if you have the cash.

Yeah you can get the cheaper than that and the newer model as well in that group buy.

Cheers
Pete
