I took my 99 sports to the mechanic for a service and now the range to empty doesnt work along with the speed warning thing:rant: , the mechanic said that there might be a code to reset them.

Has any of you had this problem and if so how did you fix it?

Cheers

From memory, hold down the up and down arrows simultaneously for a few seconds and prompt should come up to select your engne and body shape, scroll up to the body sedan/wagon and engine 3.0/3.5 and press the select button and it should reset itself to new.

It resets itself every time the battery is disconnected. Hope this helps.

nah, holding down up/down only turns on or off the speed alert...?

My DTE is a bit flakey too, reset fixes it up.

To to a hard reboot I open the engine fusebox and pull out the 2 fuses in the yellow square.
#10 & 11 I think, pictures of music note and domelight.

Does the same thing as disconnecting the battery.

Caution... doing the reset will need
-reprogramming of your keyless entry
-retraining of idle speed (nb don't be driving in peak hr traffic with lousy idle)

You can get a TH ECU reflashed by the dealer cant you? That might fix it

oh. try this first. press n hold the up n down buttons to turn on the speedo. how much fuel u have in your car before u took it there? it may be a matter of chuckin in some extra fuel for the meter to read it

Pressing the up or down buttons adjusts the speed warning tollerance. Its not the speedo.
It you set it at 100, then it'll beep at you if you go past 100.
