Hi im looking for type of rim/mag that will fit my car but with a lower offset so they stick out abit, i heard that if i was to put Ford EL rims on a ford BA that they will sit out of the guard at least an inch more, BA rims fit Magnas dont they? and because im getting the rims from TEMPETYRES, their Ford EL range of rims isn't great, so i need to know of another type of car that have the same fitment as magnas, Toyota supra? they fit BA, what about The holdens? or nissan.

Is it possible to get a Magna Rims with a 20mm ofset? Thats what im looking for.

ford changed there stud patern between the EL and AU(1997 and 1998) so i dont think pre AU(as there called) would fit if BA do...

stud pattern was the same just the offset different. illegal but some ford owners use spacers or hub convertors to get the right offset.

only illegal if they rims stick out, it will be taken care of with the flared guards.

I'm not sure what models are what when it comes to falcons, but whatever the new one is, that fits magna's lol.

BA, BAII and BF all fit. XR6 rims look pimped on a Magna. Methinks M4DDOG has them on???

There's a good reason for that. It places the cars weight away from the hub, this greatly increases the risk of something bad happening to your wheel, as in coming off.

I put people who use spacers in the same group as people that chop their springs. The F**king idiot group.

AU/BA rims bolt straight on.
the rims on my car are made for AU/BA fords
i went to bob janes about getting a matching spare and they said
"you cant get azuka's in 18x8.5 for magna's" to that i said
"look out the window d1ckhead what are they then"

so he goes out and has a look at part numbers on my rims and says
"yeah but there for fords you must be running spacers or somthing"

dont listen to guys that work in tyre joint just because they work in tyre joints

Ford rims do fit as long as they are post AU
ps; i have a freind who has EF rims on a magna and they fit also but they make the track look realy wide. they dont rub tho!!
cheers Rod

You're right about tyre joints, i had one guy try and tell me that my wheel came loose because of my rims...It was them doing up my nuts too tight and when i undid it the thread came loose.

Hey guys, i found the rims im getting there 18x8.5 will they fit on a TR? as in the size, will 18inch rims fit on a tr magna, and wont they put out the speedo.

what else should i consider. (besides it being legal)

this is them

Niiiice. Yeah what state are you in? Because the size rules differ between the states. Off the top of my head most states have a max increase of 2 inches from stock rims for that specific car. So they may be illegal with the current tyre placard. Although all you need is the placard from a magna that came with 16's and it'd be legal;).

The tyre place will be able to put on tyres that will keep the rolling diameter the same as stock, so no issues with the speedo.

Yes they do fit and yes they stick out, especially on the front.

I have rims that originally came from an xr6 ute on my magna atm.

actually it places the weight in the correct position. the reason there illegal and dangerous is that there might note be enough thread for the nuts.

ive seen an old set of 12 slotters on a TR and it hung out REALY badly
i had 16" BA steelys on mine B4 the alloys and they fit good, but the hub bore is larger on a ford than a magna. my rims have bore spacers. anyone who bought there rims for a reputible dealer will have them too.
