Hey all, I need new tyres for the VR-X, it's got the factory 17" alloys on it.
I don't want to spend a fortune on tyres but I don't want to put sh*t on them eiter.
Can anyone recommend a good rubber at a decent price.
Thanks in advance.

I've got Nankang Ultrasport on my 17's and they have done 33,000 km's so far with plenty of tread left and they stick to the road nicely and form memory they are in the $100 to $150 area.

Sorry, but Nankang are rubbish tyres. If you want something decent look at Goodyear Eagle F1's, MAXXIS MA-Z1, Bridgestone Grids.

If its got factory alloys, the width of the rim is 7 inches, therefore it is technically illegal to put a 235 width tyre on the car. You need 225/50R17s. I don't believe Maxxis come in 225, nor do many of the other cheaper brands.

I've got Falken z329 225/50R17 from Bob Janes for $175 each on mine.

Goodyear eagle F1 tyres r excellent. Excellent in wet and dry. I've had them for about 2 months now and I love them.

I've got Toyo MP3s on mine. Been happy with them.
