At the moment it seems we are having bad luck with cars. My Elante was vandalised by a $%^$% a few months back, now the old man has screwed his KS up.

We were coming back from out of town last night and spotted a big red roo off the side of the road which decided to bounce out in front of him. Unfortunately, there was a car coming the other way so Dad decided to hit the roo instead of swerving (which would of hit the other car).

The photos below are the result. Pretty nasty, $2500 - $3000 worth of damage and the bugger didnt have it insured. Luckily if we do most of the work (with the exception of cutting and welding a new support panel) it will be a damn site cheaper.

Thanks guys,
All three of us that were in the car were OK, just a little shaken up and very pissed.
I went looking for the roo but couldn't find it, wherever he went he isnt too healthy, there was a massive pool of blood on the road.
Unfortunately the car isn't insured, but he wants to rebuild her (it's the first car he has owned that he actually likes :p).

Yeah damn that does suck.. I say skippy is in a real bad way.. that would of really hurt skippy as he would of taken the whole force and he copped it full on.. no rollin over the roof for him to lessen the impact..

Oh well it done now so what can you do.. its time to move on now and build her better and stronger.. i say put a TL VRX front on her..:P

$2000 - $3000! No way.

I hit a Kangaroo with my TR on the driver's side and it looked exactly the same as yours does. My advantage was my next door neighbour is a panel beater (retired).

He did the hammering for me, which took like 1 hour, and then I bought all the parts from wreckers. Bonnet, bonnet catch, R/H light and indicator, washer bottle and had to replace all the electrics which went to the lights. All this cost me $500 + a slab of beer for my neighbour. As long as you don't need to replace the radiator or A/C and the engine itself is ok, then you should be able to get it done at that price.

na its when more than just the panels get smashed... when the parts the the bumper and quater panels bolt onto get bent add a grand and another for any engine damage...

still stip the rad support yaself... easy as pie I done mine myself if less than an hour :) apart from remove the wiring on it lol thats only another 2 mins tho :)

Look around here for parts too, I scored a rad support and trans cooler and bootlid lastnight for $100 :D
