well after having some dodgy work done to my tp sedan magna, now means i need another control arm. if i supply the arm myself i save $95. now i have a tn station wagon in my drive way which i bought for parts. so can i grab a control arm off that and swap it into my tp??
the body is almost the same so was hoping the front suspenion was too. i know the back dosent swap cos the sedan have 3 link not 4 link like the station wagon. so can anyone tell me?

yea he dented the arm which distorted it and caused the ball joint to rattle. yea i went back to him and he reconed it was like that when it came into his shop. but before i took it to him i did the bushes myself and while doing that i degreased the arms and gave a good clean to see if there was any damage , rust , cracks etc etc and it was all smooth and straight. so for now i just want the car fixed up 100% and then ill think about getting my money off the dodgy guy. this is the whole reason i try to do it myself as much as possible.
as for a written report the guys are very busy so the first time it was booked in was just for the wheel alingment and to find out what this other mechanic had done to it and how to correct it. so it sitting locked up in there shop till wensday (next time they can work on it) thats when they'll be fixing the other mechs mistakes and testing it to make sure that theres no other problems and then they'll be giving me a report on everything

yea the guy said he would swap the new one from the distorted arm too the one i give him no probs. And make sure its pressed in properly this time. ill do my best to take pics of the dents, there not huge but make enough difference to cause hassels.

ok got the tp back from the specialists and i tell u it handles like a dream compared to before , not a single creak or noise anywhere. they gave me a write up of what they did and a print out of the measurements, for example what the initial measurement was when they first got the tp and the a mearsurement for after it had been adjusted. ive scaned it in so u can see what i mean. these guys did a good job and was happy to pay for the corrective work. oh and i went back and kicked up a little stink with the dodgy mechanic and showed him what i had to pay for after having him work on it and he gave me a full refund. mind u that was the second time i went back, but i have the magna back and it's better than before so no real complains from my end.
