Also, has anyone with the astron 4cyl magna converted their car to the same model v6 engine? or heard bout it?

reason...u really dont wanna know...but...BLING BLING BABY

cheers.

you gotta change the gearbox to a rwd one - the engine should be the same it will work either way yuo just gotta find out if you can get a RWD box for that engine..

astron? maybe..
dunno about the 6g74 though - maybe a pajero gearbox?
or a triton or something?

The inlet manifold may also have to be changed depending on the car.

As for the 6 in to the 4, I did it years ago and do not recall changing anything however after revently measuring a TR the LHS mount is in a different place.
The V6 crossmembers and the lower control arms are also different (stronger for the heavier engine)

If you're thinking of making the 6G72 a rwd...all you need is a triton or pajero 6G72, they're already north south configured

I have no idea what you're planning tho lol...but the chrysler sigma's were rwd too...tho Im not sure if they got the 2.6, I know they had 2.0's tho.

seeing ur looking to put the V6 in a rwd car, thought about the turbo engine in the scorpion? turbo 4 cyl so you've got boost curves to play will so drift is easier, less weight and the wank factor of a bow off valve and a big front mount

That would kind of be ironic. The commo engine was first used in a FWD

In my Sigma turbo I used a TN Magna 2.6 block..
EW into a NS configuration...
Had to change the front housing to incorporate the water pump and fan.
Also had to do a little moding onthe inlet manifold for the different water jacket locations.
Unsure of a V6 mod... but I dont see why you couldnt..
You would prob still have to use thermo fans to cool it down .
Good luck.
