Gday,

I want to change the interior control lights such as the heater, demister and PRND2L to a more pure white. I understand that these should be T10 globes but how do i get to them?

Cheers, Josh

Hey Josh....The PRND21 Lights are pretty easy to get to.

You need to remove the instrument cluster to do so.

White squares - remove these 2 screws first
Dark blue square - you need to gently PULL this out....actully might need to give it more, it wont break mate dont worry, just gotta pull it out

then you can remove the outer piece with the 2 screws in it, once you take this off, you will 4 big screws, this is where i have put the light blue squares..Remove these 4 screws, and then your speedo cluster should pull out.
bring forward the cluster and tip it front ways so that the top of the cluster is touching the steering wheel column.......from there it should just slide out of the left....

then you can simple remove the old bulbs and install the new ones.

for the heater ones im sure its pretty much the same thing, never done it myself though (i will one day)

*dont tip the cluster forward for very long you can f**k it up
**no, my speedo is not that red anymore, im just using stock lights, thanks for asking:P

Demister isn't too hard to get to, but if I remember correctly it's one of those weird bulbs that I have yet to find a code for, so can't find any pre-built LEDs to suit. It is like a T5, but with long wire leads which wrap around the base. Mine currently has a red "condom" on it, don't know if you could find a sleeve to make it "whiter", would probably have to go the LED option.

Haven't figured out how to access the heater part, it would appear that you have to completely disassemble the heater section to get to the bulbs. One would think that it should be easier than that, but I haven't nutted it out, and haven't read about anyone else doing it.
