hey guys,
just wondering about installing an alarm into a 3rd gen magna,
ups downs, easyness, peasyness etc etc.
any ideas, suggestions or advice would be much appreciated!

Unless you know all the ins & outs of the 3rd gen's wiring loom/s... I'd leave it to the pros.

I agree. And having a beep-beep sound everytime I lock my doors is really cool :)

I asked about installing an alarm into my car, apparently it already has one built in?

^^ yeh same here?? although the 96's Te's didnt come with an alarm or central locking just the immobilisor!!! i think 97 onwards came with alarms & central locking!!!!

its not cool when you come home at strange hours of the night and then waking up the parents......:redface:

I asked about installing an alarm into my car, apparently it already has one built in?
yeah TH+ have the built in engine immobiliser & transducer keys.
Pretty hard to get the car started without its proper & recognised key.
If somebody smashes your glass to open the doors from inside it'll sound its horn.
But most thieves today are smart enough not to open the doors for a smash-n-grab,
they will only grab the stuff thru the broken windows. There is no microwave/ultrasonic
coverage inside the cabin with the stock alarm which will trigger the alarm.
Then again, alarm is still no use if one forgets to lock the car. :doubt: :doh:
