hi everyone with 3rd gens
as some of you are aware we are making 3rd gen dash rings to go around the speedo, tacho, fuel and heat gauges
what i need to know is are TE to TJ S2 fascia's all the same? if people have pics of their dash that would be great to
the reason for this is i want to make the rings for all 3rd gen models (so when designing the rings i can keep an open mind).
if you have a 2nd gen you can put an order for them to slyts6 who can be contacted here http://www.aussiemagna.com/forums/showthread.php?t=37194
thanks guys

isn't the difference between TE/TF and TJ the digital odometer
i know this because i bought some EL dials to suit a tj and the line up perfectly on my TF except for the cut out for the odometer
edit - found pic of TJ dials on hardrive

The circumfrence should be the same across the board if thats what your worried about.
And how much roughly are we looking at for a set of them???

the circumferances are identical.. but the older dial surrounds are curved. tj my02 up though they are flat. Checked it between my car (tj my02) and dads (tj s1)

its looking at around the $80 mark as its not cheap to make
this is for rings for fuel, speedo, tacho, temp and maybe the auto gear selector

Ahh..
You will find its not that distracting - it doesnt reflect too much as it is so far back in the dash cluster.. Ive never had a problem.

there is a lot of work involved making these up.
the good thing with the 3rd gens is that you have the speedo and tacho the same size, and the fuel and temp the same size. which means there should not be alot of waste off the matterials if you played your cards right SYNRGY.
with the 2nd gens, 2 different sized pieces of aluminium are needed to do the 3 rings :(
Hello! I guess this dash mod isn't available to KH onwards Veradas which have the backlit dash which looks totally black when switched off...looks impressive and works well......I'm just of the opinion that it would be a sh*tload of $$$ if we tried to open one up and botched it up!!
Besides, the speedo & tacho are massive, much larger than the standard TE-TH dash. (In fact I believe from KJ II onwards they re-introduced a revised backlit dash, with SMALLER meters!

Maybe my chrome is more shinier and better looking :P every now n then ill get a particular angle of light, but the white dials even reflect from time to time (gloss finish)

TL's should be able to have them. Anything is possible with a bit of imagination and the right equipment.
