Hi all,
Installed a verada illuminated ignition ring recently and hooked it up to a switch temporarily. What i want to know is where can i tap into the light that comes on when a door is opened so my ignition ring only illuminates then and turns off when all doors are shut?
Thanks in advance

Pull off your A pillar cover.
you will see a red wire, and a red wire with a white line
just tap into the red wire with the white line (thats the door trigger ground)
just make sure its getting power
IM POSITIVE THATS HOW I DID IT but wait for someone else to clarify!

Cheers Paul, You never cease to impress!!!
A pillar simple to remove? Suppose just look at the Workshop manual

If you look on your ignition barrel. You will see around where you stick youre key in that you have a black plastic ring.
In the veradas, they had a clear ring there with a T5 globe in it that turned on when a door was opened. Go down to your local wrecker and grab one (simple to install and costs about $2) and tap into this red and white striped power.

I tapped power from the driver's footwell light, actually squeezed the insulated wires into the two cuts on either side of the socket, with the stripped ends squished into the terminals down the bottom. Might sound a bit dodgy, but once the light is wedged in place everything is very snug, no exposed wires or potential shorts.
There's actually an existing socket which I had assumed was designed for this, but on my car at least it doesn't seem to provide any power. Maybe it isn't jumpered at the other end somewhere...
