Now been searching a few Jap import sites and from most of the pictures the 6a12 engine places the gearbox towards the passenger side like a third gen, even the 6a12 (2.5L TT V6) also sits on the same side. But from a couple of pics it shows them the other way around. Can someone share some light on this subject as i was going to look into doing a possible transplant or go for the whole car. But one other i looked into was the 6A12 mivec from the FTO????????

all that money for the transplant and the engine and a piggyback ecu....for 150kw at the flywheel...why? in the whole kw/$ thing, it doesnt work out very well!

*Edit* and the 2nd pic, the one of the car, is an 8th gen vr4 galant, and actually is the 6A13TT, not 6A12TT...6A12TT is 2.0L twin turbo, 6A13TT is a 2.5L twin turbo.

*Edit #2*...just saw u called it a 6A12TT 2.5L...so ur real question is, will the 6A13TT from a vr4 galant, and only the vr4 galant or Legnum, fit ur Magna?

It's actually a 6A13, It wouldn't be that easy to fit, not the same mounts. It'd be easier to turbo your current motor.

6A12 is orientated the same as a 2nd gen (doesnt mean it'll bolt in tho) and 6A13 same as 3rd gen, again, still not a bolt in proposition

The legnum engine will fit but it's not easy, tbutcher is putting one in, but why bother, just buy a legnum or galant will cost under 20k for a good one

Mate i know was up all night looking at Both the Galant and the Legnum Wagon, both look quite good i beleive. Was also looking at the Evo range. Mate at work just picked up an EVOlll for 45K with full carbon bonnet and extras all over. But he should have paid the extra 1500 bucks for the MR model with 6 speed box and other acc.
