Anyone???

well mine has leaked before but ive been told this is because they overfilled it i have never had it boil out of the dip stick could it be possible they put the incorrect lubricant into your trans ?

they might have overfilled it you are meant to check levels when ur trans is hot.

As mentioned already, could be incorrect oil viscosity or level. Check the fluid level after a 20min warmup drive, and check level as per handbook.

I thought your car would have a trans oil cooler fitted? Not sure since my KS definately does, and boiling of the tranny fluid is deep trouble for the internals.

If it is boiling then it could be the wrong fluid, mitsu tranys are very particular about the type of fluid they will accept.

If you are driving it hard then YES, get an oil transmission cooler, they are so worth the money dude, and will add life to any transmission.

Never had this happen, but I was told you have to use synthatic tranny oil only in the Mitsu tiptronics or you can get problems like this :!: Is this factory oil, or something you added :?:

the tranny was filled by yorke mitsubishi when they replaced it - with proper fluid i guess - well they charged me an arm and a leg for it so it better be the right stuff!!!

Might be worth checking with them...the apprentice on $2 /hour might have done it by mistake
