Hi guys looking into wether or not the TJ lights will hook up to existing TF connections. I know the light is shaped slightly different to the TF (I.E if i get a TJ boot lid that will solve the problem) but just interested to see if they will go in.

you have to get the tj light plugs aswell

So they have different plugs .....hmmmm do you know if they are easy to change over. Otherwise i will look into getting the earlier style!!

i think you can buy the loom from mitsu. i was lucky
enough to find them at my work. If you decide you want
TH lights i have some $70 for both

or you could go to a diamante bootlid and tail lights, i have 2 for sale in the for sale thread, but you should be able to but the harness from mitsu

i've got both a TF & TJ, 3 weeks ago, i tried to put the TJ lights onto the TF but due to the angle of the TF boot lid, it would not close by about 1-2cm.....
i also connected the wiring loom in the TF to the TJ lights and it worked fine????.....my TJ is the first series... they may have changed it on the 2nd series...

You can have TJ lights on a TE-TH without changing the boot, i know i've seen it. The boot lid sticks out abit though.

Yeh ive also thought a lot about it, imo its not worth spending the dollars on a TJ boot lid just to fit the TJ tail lights, although the altezza ones look sick

Well if you can get both lid and lights for $400 why not. Here is a pic for those of you who were not sure. The only thing is that this is that i think it is a TJ series II VRX bootlid so i need to find the wiring loom

Only the very edge, which after a few forceful closes doesn't become a problem anymore :P.

Just a quick one seeing thought we're on the topic of tail conversions, Has anyone done a TL to TE-TF? Wouldn't mind seeing a TL boot on a earlier 3rd gen
